While the European media arouse emotion by showing photographs of a drowned child and reports of crowds of refugees crossing the Balkans on foot, Thierry Meyssan demonstrates that these images have been fabricated. It’s certain that they serve the purposes of the head of the Federation of German Industries, Ulrich Grillo, and also NATO. But they do not show the phenomenon in its totality, which leads the Europeans to offer inadapted responses.

US returns antiquities to Egypt

Today USA returned to the government of Egypt dozens of ancient archaeological pieces that had been illegally smuggled into the country.
The pieces were recovered as part of operation "Curse of the Mummy" and handed over in the building of the National Geographic Society, including a Greco-Roman style sarcophagus, sculpture of a horse and multiple figurines.

The UN sees young people as main victims of global employment crisis

Deputy Secretary General of the UN, Jan Eliasson, warned that the world is experiencing a "crisis of employment" with the youth as the main victim and warned of the consequences of failing to address that problem.
"It is essential to do more to create jobs for young people. Their frustration is understandable and undermines the belief in government and national institutions," Eliasson said in a speech to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Peru seeks to protect Mashco-Piro tribe from displacement

The Peruvian government seeks to protect Mashco-piro an Amazonian tribe which has been living in isolation for years and recently began to leave its territory, probably driven by mining and illegal logging.
It is an ethnic group of hunters and gatherers who speak an unknown language. Consisting of about 800 members, for years the tribe has lived on a reservation of Madre de Dios (on the border with Brazil), the region with the largest illegal gold production in the country, but now it is moving.

Mexico rediscovered Russia and the Russians. One of the local reporters called it 'Russian Conquista'.
